Semana Santa

It´s the quintessential festival in Granada and, in general, in all of Andalusia. This celebration, which takes place between March and April, has been declared to be of International Tourist Interest and each year thousands of tourists come to the city to watch the processions. Semana Santa has been celebrated, it´s estimated, since the Reconquista (the Reconquest of Spain), and the different brotherhoods commemorate the passion, crucifixion, and the glory of Christ

Feria del Corpus de Granada (Corpus de Granada Fair)

This is the city´s biggest celebration, and it takes place between May and June. It starts with the lighting of thousands of light bulbs and culminates at the end of the week with a fireworks spectacular.

Festival Internacional de Música y Danza de Granada (Granada International Festival of Music and Dance)

With important and top quality art exhibits and performances, this is one of the most prestigious of Granada´s cultural activities.
