San Juan Celebration is held the evening of June 23 commencing with a parade of torches running from City Hall to the lands of Fairground where they gather to set up a fire to the wishes of citizens. From our hotel in Albacete you can visit every corner quickly and easily given the good communication of our facilities with the rest of the city. If you go by car, you will have all the destinations we offer at hand, less than 15 minutes away.

Every year an activities program takes place during the week starting from June 18 and ending on June 24. During these days of San Juan celebrations you can enjoy all kinds of activities ranging from musical performances, folklore festivals, sports, theater, to bullfighting at the Bulls’ Square, and all this builds up to the “Night of San Juan”. On this night the traditional torchlight parade, Bonfire burning take place, and a Castle of Fireworks is formed. This culmination gives way to the wonderful open-air dance of San Juan where everyone can enjoy the taste of the famous “rolls of anise” and “dove sanjuanera”.

Another intriguing activity, which is now in its eleventh edition, is the Pilgrimage of San John organized by the neighborhood movement and taking place on the day of the patron.
